John R. (Hi) Sierra specializes in the supervision, permitting, engineering, and development of large master-planned developments. Mr. Sierra began his real estate development career in 1974 with Criterion Corporation. Over the past 30 + years, Mr. Sierra has also been involved in various vertical construction projects, such as multi-family apartments, commercial buildings, office buildings, warehouses, and luxury homes. In all, Mr. Sierra has been involved in the development of over 5,000 home sites throughout the greater Tampa Bay area.

In addition to his duties at Sierra Properties, Mr. Sierra currently serves as Vice President of Construction and Development for DEVCO II Corporation. DEVCO II is the principal development company for Meadow Pointe, the fastest selling residential community in Tampa. In addition to his development experience, Mr. Sierra is a licensed real estate Broker and the previous owner of Avila Realty, Inc., the exclusive Realtor for land sales in the prestigious Avila Golf and Country Club development located in North Tampa.

Mr. Sierra's current projects include the development of both Sunset Lakes and the Cypress Creek Town Center. Sunset Lakes (sunsetlakes.net) is a luxury residential community located in south Pasco County with homes ranging from $425,000 to $1,000,000. Mr. Sierra's other current development project is a mixed use project named Cypress Creek Town Center, which is slated to open its 2.1 million square feet of shopping space in 2008.
